My name is David Redwine. My company's aim, simply put, is to design and build contemporary furniture to the highest standards of workmanship. Bespoke is a term I learned in England while studying under David Savage (finefurnituremaker.com). Loosely translated, it means commissioned, custom, or 'spoken for.'
The piece you purchase or commission will be hand-made. I use power equipment much of the time, but also many fine hand tools when a machine simply won’t do what I would ask of it. Contemporary design. Time-tested techniques. The end result? Beautiful one-off pieces made to last a long, long time... You can feel the difference between this and furniture off the shelf.
The piece could be an intimate kitchen table with matching chairs. Contrastingly, it could be highly polished board room conference table that says, ‘This is where we do business. Please have a seat.’ You may need a delicately crafted box for storing precious belongings or perhaps an outdoor garden bench that beckons you to sit on it and reflect for awhile.
All marketing language aside, what I believe you will find with any piece I create, based on your specific ideas, is that it evokes an emotional response. Hopefully you will feel satisfaction, if not outright joy, every time you see and use it.
